RareStack – Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RareStack mobile application, website, features, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by RareStack ("RareStack," "we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, accessing, or using RareStack, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About RareStack
RareStack is an independent trading-card collection, scanning, cataloguing, and value-tracking tool. It allows users to identify cards, maintain a personal collection, view available market information, and access related features.
RareStack is not a marketplace, broker, auction house, financial adviser, investment adviser, card grader, or authentication service. We do not buy or sell trading cards on behalf of users.
2. Eligibility
RareStack is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.
If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. A parent or guardian who allows a minor to use RareStack is responsible for the minor's use of the Service.
3. User Accounts
Some features may require an account created with an email address or a supported sign-in provider, such as Google or Apple.
You agree to:
- provide accurate information;
- keep your login credentials secure;
- use only accounts that belong to you;
- notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission; and
- accept responsibility for activity performed through your account, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
You may request deletion of your account through the App, where available, or by contacting rarestack@webzoom.gr.
Deleting your RareStack account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the store in which they were purchased.
4. Licence to Use the Service
Subject to these Terms, RareStack grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit the Service;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- bypass security controls, subscription checks, usage limits, or technical restrictions;
- use bots, automated scraping, or other automated methods that may disrupt the Service or its data providers;
- upload malicious code or interfere with the operation of the Service;
- use the Service to violate any law or the rights of another person; or
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with RareStack.
5. Card Scanning and Identification
RareStack may use camera input, optical character recognition, image matching, and other automated methods to identify trading cards.
Automated identification may be incomplete or incorrect. Variants, editions, languages, printings, condition, alterations, counterfeit cards, lighting, image quality, and other factors may affect results.
You are responsible for checking a card's identity, edition, condition, and authenticity before relying on a scan result or making any purchase, sale, trade, insurance, or valuation decision.
6. Prices and Market Information
Prices, market trends, collection values, and related information displayed by RareStack may come from third-party sources or automated estimates. This information may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate.
RareStack does not guarantee:
- that any displayed price represents the actual value of a card;
- that a card can be bought or sold at a displayed price;
- the accuracy, completeness, or availability of market data; or
- future price movements or investment performance.
All price information is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, authentication, or professional advice. You should independently verify information before making a transaction or financial decision.
7. RareStack Plus Subscriptions
RareStack may offer an automatically renewing monthly subscription called RareStack Plus. Available features, usage limits, pricing, billing period, and any trial or promotional offer are shown in the App before purchase.
RareStack Plus currently provides increased scanner access, including up to 25 scans per day, subject to reasonable technical, security, and availability limits. Features may evolve as the Service improves.
Billing
Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the platform where the purchase is made:
- Apple App Store for iOS purchases; or
- Google Play for Android purchases.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when the purchase is confirmed. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled before the renewal deadline shown by the applicable store.
The price displayed by the applicable store at the time of purchase is the price that applies, including any taxes that the store is required to collect.
Managing or cancelling a subscription
You can manage or cancel your subscription through the account settings of the store where you purchased it:
- Apple subscriptions: https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
- Google Play subscriptions: https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
Deleting the App or deleting your RareStack account does not cancel a store subscription.
Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You will continue to have access to paid features until that period ends, unless the applicable store or applicable law provides otherwise.
Refunds
Subscription purchases and refund requests are processed by Apple or Google under their respective rules and applicable law. RareStack does not directly receive or store your full payment-card information.
Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation, or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Advertising
The free version of RareStack may display advertisements, including rewarded or interstitial advertisements. Advertising may be provided by third-party services such as Google AdMob.
Availability of an advertisement or reward is not guaranteed. Attempts to manipulate, automate, or abuse advertising rewards may result in the restriction or suspension of related features.
9. Third-Party Services
RareStack may depend on third-party services for authentication, billing, subscription verification, analytics, advertising, market information, hosting, and other functionality.
These services may include Apple, Google, Google Play, Firebase, AdMob, Qonversion, and other providers. Your use of third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, data, content, policies, or decisions, except to the extent responsibility cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Trading-Card Names, Images, and Trademarks
Trading-card names, card images, game names, characters, logos, trademarks, and other intellectual property shown in RareStack belong to their respective owners.
RareStack is an independent application and is not endorsed by, sponsored by, affiliated with, or officially connected to any trading-card publisher, manufacturer, marketplace, grading company, Apple, or Google, unless explicitly stated.
References to third-party products are used for identification and informational purposes.
11. Your Content and Collection Data
You retain any rights you have in information that you add to your RareStack account, such as collection entries and notes.
You grant RareStack a limited licence to host, process, transmit, back up, and display this information only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
You must not upload content that is illegal, malicious, misleading, or that infringes another person's rights.
12. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are described in the RareStack Privacy Policy:
13. Service Availability and Changes
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. We may also change usage limits where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, technical capacity, third-party service changes, or product improvement.
We do not guarantee that the Service, card scanner, price information, advertisements, subscriptions, or third-party integrations will always be available or error-free.
Where required by law, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes that negatively affect an active paid subscription.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or suspend access to the Service if we reasonably believe that:
- these Terms have been violated;
- an account is being used fraudulently or unlawfully;
- use of the Service creates a security or operational risk; or
- action is required by law or by a platform provider.
You may stop using RareStack at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and dispute provisions—will remain in effect.
15. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not make warranties regarding uninterrupted availability, card identification, card authenticity, grading, price accuracy, marketability, profitability, data supplied by third parties, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, these exclusions apply only to the extent legally permitted.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RareStack will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service, including losses connected with:
- an incorrect card identification;
- inaccurate or unavailable price information;
- a purchase, sale, trade, grading, insurance, or investment decision;
- loss of collection records or account access;
- third-party services or outages; or
- unauthorised access caused by a user's failure to protect login credentials.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.
17. Indemnity
Where permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses resulting from your unlawful misuse of the Service or your material violation of these Terms.
This section does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer law.
18. Apple-Specific Terms
If you use RareStack on an Apple device, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies:
https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for RareStack, except as required under applicable Apple terms or law. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce applicable Apple-related provisions as third-party beneficiaries.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the App or through another reasonable method. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect means that you accept them, except where applicable law requires a different form of consent.
20. Applicable Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms are governed by applicable law.
If you are a consumer, you retain the mandatory rights and protections provided by the laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms requires you to waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
